Forms and Fields
Edit the intake and assessment questions, the stage bands, the pick lists, and the profile and company fields.
Forms
Settings, Forms: "The questions members are asked. Editing one changes what is asked next, never what has already been answered."
Two forms:
- Application: the public intake at
/apply. Branches by track. - Business Health Questionnaire: the scored assessment. The total decides a founder's stage.
The Editor
Open a form. The toolbar has a version picker (the live one is marked live), a question count per track (application) or Achievable maximum (assessment), and the buttons Preview, New Version, Save and Make Live.
Sections and questions are dragged to reorder. A section has a title, an intro, Asked of track checkboxes (none means everyone), and a Rule for when it is shown. A question has its text, Answer type, Required, Saved as (the stored key, which is what the profile mapping reads), Help and Placeholder. Tag-based questions take their options from Tag Lists. Core questions that the platform depends on carry a lock and cannot be removed.
Versions
Editing the live version saves a new draft; the live version is untouched until you click Make Live. Every submission records which version it answered, so old answers stay readable. Make Live is disabled until the blockers listed at the top are fixed and the draft is saved.
Regrading
Changing an assessment question's weight or maximum changes grading. When you Make Live on the assessment, the platform first works out who would move stage and asks Regrade Every Founder?. Make Live and Regrade applies it to every founder who has submitted. The toast reports "{changed} of {checked} founders changed."
Stage Bands
Settings, Stage Bands (also the Stage Bands button in the assessment editor): the score ranges that decide a founder's stage, with the Scale rule that also requires a top answer on business expansion. Columns Stage, From, To, Rule. Save asks Regrade Every Founder? the same way.
Tag Lists
Settings, Tag Lists: "The options members choose from. Add, rename or remove them; members cannot type their own." Three lists: Industries, Skills, Ways to Help. Each tag shows how many members hold it. Add Tag (choose the list, type the name); the pencil opens Edit Tag with Remove, Cancel, Save. Renaming a tag to an existing name merges the two. A removed tag stays on the profiles that already hold it and is listed under "No longer offered, still on profiles".
Member Fields
Settings, Member Fields: the profile. Sections Required to be matched, Optional, Added by your team, Removed. Add Field: Belongs to, Field name, Help text, Answer type, Choices, Who is asked, and the Required to be matched switch. Core fields are locked.
Company Fields
Settings, Company Fields: the same manager for the Founder business and the Partner organization.
Where Answers Go
An intake answer is stored with the application under its Saved as key. When the account is created, the platform maps known keys onto the profile, the business and the organization. A renamed key is stored but not mapped until a developer updates the mapping, so keep Saved as stable when rewording a question. See Codebase Map for where the mapping lives.
